The Chicago Bulls announced their roster today for the 2015 Samsung Summer League. The Bulls will begin July 11th in Las Vegas against the Minnesota Timberwolves. As expected, McDermott and Portis headline the Bulls’ roster. The Bulls will be coached by Fred Hoiberg this summer.
Last summer, Tony Snell and Doug McDermott led the Bulls to a 4-1 record tying the best record in the Las Vegas Summer League. Snell, going into his ssophomoreyear last summer averaged 20 points per game while shooting 46% from the field. McDermott averaged 18 points per game with a 44% field-goal percentage.
The Chicago Bulls’ 22nd overall pick will be joining the team this summer in Las Vegas. The 6’10 forward Bobby Portis will have his first chance to showcase his talents to Bulls nation.
Cameron Bairstow averaged 10.2 points per game with 7 rebounds per game last summer for the Bulls in Vegas.
The Chicago Bulls expect a big leap from McDermott in his sophomore year; and they’re hoping he builds a strong chemistry early with Fred Hoiberg this summer.
