The Bulls were engaged in heavy trade talks with the Sacramento Kings. The Bulls elected to keep Pau Gasol despite the possibility of the 7’0 Spaniard leaving this summer in free agency. The Bulls tried to ship Aaron Brooks for Shabazz Napier, but the deal wasn’t able to get done. In the final minute before the deadline, the Bulls agreed to a three-way deal to land Justin Holiday and a second round pick for Kirk Hinrich.
