After signing a $15 million deal over the summer, Mike Dunleavy Jr. is set to return on Saturday against the Timberwolves, The Vertical reports.

The Chicago Bulls announced Mike Dunleavy Jr.’s back surgery over the summer shortly after he signed his three-year deal with the team. The initial return date was set for December, but recovery took longer than expected.

Dunleavy, age 35, is considered to be the glue-guy of the team which will help fill their gaping holes. The Bulls have filtered Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, Tony Snell, and E’Twaun Moore into the lineup in replacement of Dunleavy. However, the struggling Bulls feel Dunleavy is their true missing piece.

Dunleavy was recalled from the D-Leauge to join the team in Sacramento against their win over the Kings. Dunleavy spent two days practicing with the Santa Cruz NBA development team.
