A day after beating the Cavaliers in a nail-biter, the Bulls flew to Brooklyn to take on the Nets as a part of their back-to-back. The Bulls kept the high tempo pace throughout the game as they beat the Nets 115-100.
It was a well balanced attack by the Bulls as they beat the Nets in every way possible. Derrick Rose killed any potential narrative of a poor back-to-back trend by coming scoring 15 points on 5-11 shooting. Rose added three assists and two rebounds. Jimmy Butler came off to a hot start and finished the game with 24 points with six assists and four rebounds.
With the Bulls starting five all scoring in double-digits, the Bulls front-court redeemed themselves on the boards from last night as Gasol and Mirotic grabbed a combined 18 rebounds. Nikola Mirtoic added 18 points as Gasol added 16 of his own.
Fred Hoiberg used every weapon at his disposal, even Kirk Hinrich played in the second half for his season debut. However, Bobby Portis has not played yet this season, but Hoiberg promises that his time will come soon.
Despite being diagnosed with a knee contusion, Joakim Noah suited up and played 17 minutes but was in foul trouble throughout the game.
The Bulls will face off the Pistons in Detriot next on Friday.
