Derrick Rose claiming he’s great, right on queue. Every summer, Derrick Rose assures his fan base that he still believes he’s the best player as he disregards his injuries. The confidence level in Rose has never fallen. In fact, it seems his confidence level is much higher than recent years as he’s going into the regular season fully healthy.
Rose: “I know I’m great. There’s a lot of people who don’t know I’m great. That’s cool. I know I can hoop.”

Rose: “You see the way all this money will be passed around in this league. My day (free agency) is coming.” — Vincent Goodwill (@vgoodwill) September 28, 2015
Rose still clearly confident in his game. “I know I’m great.”

With mediocre name players walking out this summer with big contracts, Derrick Rose is already licking his chops for the day he enters free agency. Rose, age 26, won’t be a free agent until 2017. The former MVP is still locked into a two year deal worth maximum money. With the new CBA taking effect in 2017, Rose is already thinking about the money he’ll be making from the NBA alone.
