Nikola Mirotic comes out of his shell to address the alleged Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose feud calling it nonsense. So if anyone’ is counting, that’s the entire world against a few headlines by the Chicago-Sun Times and ESPN.
“Actually, I’m surprised that people write about it. Their relationship is very, very good. They are the leaders of our team and get along real, real well. You can see there’s very good communication between them in games and practices. There’s never been any problem between them that I have seen.” – Nikola Mirotic
Nikola Mirotic made himself clear a few times assuring fans that there’s absolutely nothing between Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose. Why would there be? Reggie Rose has been begging Bulls front office to get Derrick Rose some help, and now he finally has it. So why is there an issue? There really isn’t.
“I expect him to be healthy. We know him being with the team is key. If he’s healthy, he’s going to give us plenty of things. We dealt with many injury problems throughout last season and that took a toll on us. I just wish everybody gets back to Chicago healthy.” – Nikola Mirotic on Derrick Rose
Nikola Mirotic also added Rose needs to be healthy for the Bulls to make any sort of run in the playoffs. Nikola Mirotic knows he’ll be stepping into a much bigger role this year, but he still needs to follow the lead of Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler.
Nikola Mirotic has spent the summer working out with Spain’s national team.
