Anyone who watched Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals would tell you the Chicago Bulls were just not on the same page with one another. So much so that a rumor began of a potential Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose feud which sparked the entire summer’s conversation.
With all of that put to rest, the Chicago Bulls look and feel like a different team this season under the Fred Hoiberg regime. From a black-and-white, blue collar, and grind-it-out team from last season, they’ve become into a much more colorful, complex, and fast-paced team.
“We’re a really unselfish team, to a fault sometimes. We’ll have a good shot and give it up because there’s so much space.” – Jimmy Butler
Derrick Rose was asked about the team’s performance tonight, and he paused for a minute just to say “I just love our team” with a big smile on his face. It’s clear Rose is feeling like he’ll regain the Allstar status he once had in this new offense. With a 15 point performance on 5-11 shooting, he’s headed in the right direction.
