The Chicago Bulls officially announce their new D-league team that will debut next season. The new team will play in the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. The concept behind the addition of the new D-league team is to help the growth of the rookies by placing them in D-league games on a nightly basis, but they’d be practicing with the team on a daily basis. The rookies wouldn’t be stuck on the bench, they’d have the chance to grow.

“Whoever the coach is will work hand in hand with Fred and his staff so their systems are very similar. We think this is a terrific step for our franchise from a basketball perspective.” – Gar Forman
This not only benefits the team by developing their young rookies faster, but the fans would get a chance to watch the rookies play heavy minutes on a nightly basis for cheap. D-league ticket rates are significantly cheaper than the NBA’s rates.
The Bulls are currently holding a contest to help name their new franchise.
