The return of Marco “I like my meatball spicy” Belinelli could be a very real possibility according to KC Johnson from the Chicago Tribune. Gar Forman has made it clear that re-signing Mike Dunleavy Jr is a priority. However, if Dunleavy doesn’t take a discounted deal like he did last time, there’s a chance he walks away in free agency. Queue in Marco Belinelli .
Bulls making Dunleavy priority & will bid for him. Dunleavy comfortable here. But if Bulls don't land him, keep eye on Belinelli as target.

Belinelli last played for the Bulls in the 2012-2013 season where he averaged 9.6ppg while shooting 35% from behind the arc. Since then, Marco has spent his last two seasons in San Antonio where he’s won the 3-point contest and an NBA title. If that’s not enough, his averages increased both in points and field-goal percentage after leaving Chicago.
Marco was considered a fan favorite in Chicago. Many Bulls fans were devastated the Bulls did not bring him back. The Bulls decided not to re-sign Marco Belinelli back in 2013 where he signed an identical deal as Mike Dunleavy Jr that summer; 2-year $6 million. The Bulls’ free agency plan will start to shape up once they’re able to lock Jimmy Butler down.
