In a blink of an eye a rumor snowballed into an actual offer by the Sacramento Kings to land Pau Gasol. The Vertical reported the Bulls were offered Kosta Koufus, Ben McLemore, and lowering of the protected ’16 draft pick for Pau Gasol and Tony Snell.
Meanwhile, Gasol to Kings rumors being shot down posthaste. Sounds like they’re coming from one direction, if you get my meaning.

On Pau Gasol-to-Sac possibility that the Yahoo crew reported, I’m getting skepticism from Bulls side that a deal will materialize today.

“The Kings reached out to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, too, league sources said, because the Sixers have the right to swap picks with the Kings’ on the 2016 pick. The Kings wouldn’t be able to complete the deal involving the pick with Chicago unless they could reach an agreement with Philadelphia. The Sixers were preparing to ask for a further sweetener to allow the Kings to move on a deal with Chicago, league sources said.” – Adrian Wojnarowski
Nearly 10 hours after the rumor picked up steam, the Chicago Bulls are said to be hesitant moving forward. The trade is also linked to the Sixers as they own the right to swap the ’16 pick if they choose. It is possible the Sixers weren’t interested in the deal which tampered with the Kings’ offer to lower the ’16 draft pick.
