An angry Jimmy Butler refused to celebrate his career high in points after the Bulls loss in Boston. Despite Butler’s 36 points effort on 12-24 shooting, the Chicago Bulls once again became a victim of another unacceptable loss. Butler’s anger stemmed from his reduced minutes and teammates lack of effort.
“It’s a learning curve for him just like it is for me. I understand what he’s trying to do. I’m not mad at him for that. I wanted to play because that’s when we give up those leads. Nothing against my teammates but I think if I’m out there, I can get their energy going the right way. I don’t give a damn about a career high. I want to win.” Jimmy Butler on Fred Hoiberg
Derrick Rose turned in yet another sub par performance with 12 points and six assists in 36 minutes. Pau Gasol’s 16 points with 15 rebounds helped the Bulls fuel a comeback late in the fourth quarter.
Jimmy Butler clearly isn’t happy, and his request to start the fourth quarter because his teammates are letting him down is duly noted.
