Good news, Derrick Rose will officially suit up against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bad news, Rose might not get to start and will possibly play limited minutes to get back into shape. Most fans see the glass half full in the case of Derrick Rose. Any news that headlines him playing puts a smile across their faces, regardless if he’ll be limited or not.
“We play three (games) in four days to start, so we’ll have to be a little more careful because he hasn’t had a ton of reps.” Fred Hoiberg on Derrick Rose
The Bulls are overloaded with games in their first week, and Derrick Rose might not have enough time to get his body conditioned for three games in four nights. Minute restrictions makes sense to ease Rose back into a full game. Playing just 10 minutes in his preseason debut, Rose would need more time to get his body ready to play over 35 minutes.
“He’s in top form. We’ve been talking a lot of trash to him, throwing so many bodies at him, and he’s been responding well. We couldn’t stop him (Sunday).” Taj Gibson
Despite his body not being fully conditioned, Rose is still tearing it apart in practice according to Taj Gibson. With the speed Rose brings to the table, it turns the tempo up even more than before, which is insanely high.
