Fred Hoiberg is beginning to look like mad scientist with all the lineup changes he’s made so far this preseason. With Derrick Rose, Mike Dunlavy, and Tony Sell still out, his next experiment will be to start Jimmy Butler at small-forward against the Charlotte Hornets.
Hoiberg will start Hinrich and Moore at guards and Butler at small forward on Monday. Still trying different looks.

Fred Hoiberg has long talked about taking a look at E’Tawun Moore at the shooting guard position. He’ll go with a smaller lineup with Hinrich and Moore in the back-court paired next to Jimmy Butler.
